From pin + point; originally meaning a tiny point like the head of a pin (late 19th–early 20th century), later also used as a verb meaning ‘to locate/identify precisely’.

'pin' (पिन) + 'point' (बिंदु) से बना; शुरू में इसका अर्थ पिन की नोक/सिर जितना छोटा बिंदु था (19वीं सदी के अंत–20वीं सदी की शुरुआत), बाद में क्रिया के रूप में ‘बिल्कुल सटीक रूप से पता लगाना/पहचानना’ के अर्थ में प्रचलित हुआ।
