From Middle English parsonage, from Old French personage/parsonage, based on parson + -age; originally meaning the office or benefice of a parson, later the house.
मध्य अंग्रेज़ी parsonage से; पुरानी फ़्रांसीसी personage/parsonage से, parson + -age पर आधारित। पहले इसका अर्थ पादरी का पद/लाभांश (benefice) था, बाद में पादरी के निवास-घर के अर्थ में प्रचलित हुआ।
Definition
A parsonage is the official residence or house supplied by a church for its parish priest/minister, usually located near the church and used as the clergyperson’s home.
