Definition
A pagan is someone who follows a religion or spiritual tradition that is not one of the dominant monotheistic religions (such as Christianity, Islam, or Judaism), and historically the term was often used by Christians to describe followers of older polytheistic religions. In modern usage it can refer to contemporary nature-based or revival traditions (e.g., modern Paganism/Wicca), but it can also be used pejoratively depending on context.
