From the adjective/adverb 'out' + the noun-forming suffix '-ing'; used since the 18th–19th centuries for a short excursion; the sense 'publicly reveal someone is gay' became common in late 20th century English.

Definition
An outing is a short journey away from home, usually for enjoyment (such as a picnic or day trip), or a planned group excursion; in another sense, it means publicly revealing that a person is gay without their consent.
Outing घर से बाहर की छोटी सैर/भ्रमण होता है, जो आमतौर पर मनोरंजन (जैसे पिकनिक या डे-ट्रिप) या किसी निर्धारित उद्देश्य के लिए किया जाता है; एक अन्य अर्थ में, किसी व्यक्ति की समलैंगिकता को उसकी अनुमति के बिना सार्वजनिक करना भी ‘outing’ कहलाता है।
