Definition
Nonferrous refers to metals or materials that do not contain iron (Fe) as a main constituent, such as aluminum, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, and their alloys; these are often valued for corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, or light weight.
नॉनफेरस/अलौह उन धातुओं या पदार्थों को कहते हैं जिनमें मुख्य घटक के रूप में लोहा (Fe) नहीं होता, जैसे एल्युमिनियम, तांबा, सीसा, जस्ता, निकल और इनके मिश्रधातु; इन्हें अक्सर जंग-रोधकता, विद्युत चालकता या कम वजन के कारण महत्व दिया जाता है।
