Formed in modern scientific English from non- (“not”) + colloidal (from colloid, coined 19th c. from Greek kolla “glue” + -oid “resembling”).
आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक अंग्रेज़ी में non- (“नहीं/अ-”) + colloidal से निर्मित; colloid (19वीं शताब्दी) यूनानी kolla “गोंद” + -oid “सदृश/जैसा” से बना।
Definition
Describing a substance, mixture, or system that is not in colloidal form—its particles are not dispersed at the colloid-size range and it behaves as a true solution or a coarse suspension rather than a colloid.
