Definition
Describes places, climates, or habitats (often alpine) that are covered with snow or where snow is common, and also describes organisms—especially plants—that occur or thrive under snowy conditions.
ऐसे स्थानों, जलवायु या आवासों (अक्सर पर्वतीय/आल्पाइन) के लिए प्रयोग होने वाला शब्द जो बर्फ़ से ढके हों या जहाँ बर्फ़ सामान्य हो; तथा उन जीवों/विशेषकर पौधों के लिए भी जो हिम-परिस्थितियों में पाए जाते हैं या अच्छी तरह पनपते हैं।
