From Late Latin Nicenus, from Greek Nikaianos “of Nicaea,” from Nikaia (Nicaea), the city in Asia Minor where the First Council met in AD 325.
लेटिन (Late Latin) Nicenus से, जो यूनानी Nikaianos ‘निसिया का/निसिया से संबंधित’ से आया है; Nikaia (Nicaea) एशिया माइनर का वह नगर था जहाँ ई. 325 में प्रथम निसिया महासभा हुई थी।
Definition
Nicene refers especially to the Christian Creed formulated at the First Council of Nicaea (AD 325) and to doctrines aligned with it; it may also mean 'of Nicaea,' the ancient city where the council was held.
Nicene का मुख्यतः अर्थ प्रथम निसिया महासभा (ई. 325) में निर्मित ईसाई आस्था-घोषणा (Nicene Creed) तथा उससे संबद्ध/अनुरूप सिद्धांतों से है; कभी-कभी इसका अर्थ निसिया (प्राचीन नगर) से संबंधित/वहाँ का भी होता है।
