A macrospore is the larger of two spore types produced by some plants (heterosporous plants); it germinates to form the female gametophyte, which bears female sex organs.
मैक्रोस्पोर कुछ पौधों (विषमबीजी/हेटेरोस्पोरस पौधों) द्वारा बनाए गए दो प्रकार के बीजाणुओं में बड़ा बीजाणु होता है; यह अंकुरित होकर मादा गैमेटोफाइट बनाता है, जिसमें मादा जननांग बनते हैं।
