Definition
Describes blood (especially red blood cells) in which the cells are larger than normal, often detected by an increased mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and seen in conditions such as vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.
रक्त (विशेषकर लाल रक्त कणिकाओं) की ऐसी स्थिति का वर्णन, जिसमें कोशिकाएँ सामान्य से बड़ी होती हैं; यह प्रायः बढ़े हुए मीन कॉर्पस्कुलर वॉल्यूम (MCV) से पता चलता है और विटामिन B12 या फोलेट की कमी जैसी अवस्थाओं में देखा जाता है।
