Definition
A historian is someone who studies the past by examining sources (documents, artifacts, records) and then explains or writes about historical events and their causes and effects.
इतिहासकार वह व्यक्ति होता है जो अतीत का अध्ययन प्राथमिक/द्वितीयक स्रोतों (दस्तावेज़, कलाकृतियाँ, अभिलेख) के आधार पर करता है और फिर ऐतिहासिक घटनाओं तथा उनके कारण-परिणाम की व्याख्या या लेखन करता है।
