From head (front part) + light; recorded in English from the late 19th to early 20th century with the rise of motor vehicles.

Definition
A headlight is a forward-facing lamp on a vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc.) that helps the driver see the road and also makes the vehicle visible to others; headlights commonly have low beam and high beam settings.
हेडलाइट वाहन (कार, मोटरसाइकिल आदि) के सामने लगी आगे की ओर रोशनी देने वाली लाइट होती है, जो चालक को सड़क देखने में मदद करती है और वाहन को दूसरों के लिए भी दिखाई देती है; आम तौर पर इसमें लो बीम और हाई बीम के विकल्प होते हैं।
