From Middle English giser, gysere, ultimately from Old French giser/guiser, related to the idea of 'cooking/stewing' (compare French gésier).

Definition
A gizzard is a thick, muscular stomach organ—especially in birds—that uses swallowed grit or small stones to grind food; by extension it can mean the stomach of certain reptiles/fish, and informally a person’s stomach.
गिज़ार्ड (पक्षियों में) पेट का मोटा, मांसल भाग होता है जो निगले हुए कंकड़ों/रेत की मदद से भोजन को पीसता है; विस्तार से यह कुछ सरीसृप/मछलियों के ऐसे पेट के भाग के लिए भी आता है, और बोलचाल में किसी व्यक्ति के पेट के लिए भी।
