Definition
A gelada is an Old World monkey native to the Ethiopian Highlands, often called a "gelada baboon" although it is distinct from true baboons; it is recognizable by the bright, hairless patch of skin on its chest and its grass-eating diet.
जेलाडा (Theropithecus gelada) पुरानी दुनिया का एक बंदर है जो इथियोपिया के ऊँचे पठारी इलाकों में पाया जाता है; इसे कभी-कभी “जेलाडा बबून” कहा जाता है, लेकिन यह असली बबून से अलग है। इसकी पहचान छाती पर चमकीले, बिना बालों वाले त्वचा-धब्बे और घास-आधारित आहार से होती है।
