Definition
“Flopping” is the present participle of “flop.” It can mean to fall or sit down heavily from tiredness, to cause something to fall heavily, to fail badly (especially a film/book/song), to exaggerate contact in sports to draw a foul, to flap/strike about loosely (like a fish or a loose brim), to make a poker hand using the flop cards, or (informal) to stay/sleep somewhere (a “flophouse” sense).
