Definition
Fertilization refers either to adding nutrients (fertilizer) to soil to improve plant growth, or to the union of male and female gametes (sperm and egg) that initiates embryonic development.
उर्वरीकरण का अर्थ या तो मिट्टी में पोषक तत्व (खाद/उर्वरक) मिलाकर पौधों की वृद्धि बढ़ाना होता है, या जैविक रूप से शुक्राणु और अंडाणु का मिलन, जिससे युग्मनज बनता है और भ्रूण विकास शुरू होता है।
