Definition
Felsite is a very fine-grained (aphanitic) igneous rock, typically pale in color, made chiefly of feldspar and quartz/silica; it often occurs as dikes, sills, or small intrusive bodies and is commonly linked with rhyolitic (felsic) compositions.
फेल्साइट एक अत्यंत सूक्ष्म-कणिकीय (अफैनिटिक) आग्नेय शैल है, जो सामान्यतः हल्के रंग की होती है और मुख्यतः फेल्डस्पार तथा क्वार्ट्ज/सिलिका से बनी होती है; यह अक्सर डाइक, सिल या छोटे अंतर्वेधी निकायों के रूप में मिलती है और प्रायः रयोलाइटिक (फेल्सिक) संघटन से संबद्ध होती है।
