Definition
Federation refers to (1) the act or process of forming a single political unit by joining separate states/nations, (2) the resulting union governed by a central authority with powers shared with member units, and (3) by extension, any organization made by combining independent groups (including in networks/telecom for interoperability).
फेडरेशन का अर्थ है (1) अलग-अलग राज्यों/राष्ट्रों के मिलकर एक राजनीतिक इकाई बनाना, (2) उससे बना ऐसा संघ जिसमें एक केंद्रीय सरकार होती है और सदस्य इकाइयों के साथ शक्तियाँ बाँटी जाती हैं, तथा (3) व्यापक अर्थ में स्वतंत्र समूहों के मिलकर बना कोई भी संगठन (नेटवर्क/टेलीकॉम में पारस्परिक संगतता हेतु गठजोड़ सहित)।
