यह शब्द यूनानी epistrophē से आया है जिसका अर्थ “मुड़ना/वापस मोड़ना” है; बाद में वाक्पटुता में इसका प्रयोग उपवाक्यों/वाक्यों के अंत में दोहराव के अर्थ में होने लगा।
Definition
Epistrophe is a figure of speech where the same word or group of words is repeated at the end of consecutive clauses, sentences, or lines to create emphasis and rhythm.
एपिस्ट्रोफी (एपिस्ट्रोफ़ी) अलंकार/वाक्पटुता की एक युक्ति है जिसमें एक ही शब्द या शब्द-समूह को लगातार आने वाले वाक्यांशों, वाक्यों या पंक्तियों के अंत में दोहराया जाता है ताकि जोर और लय पैदा हो।
