Formed from de- (‘removal, reversal’) + polarization, with the scientific suffix -ation; used in physiology for changes in membrane potential and later extended to other fields.
यह de- (‘हटाना/उलटना’) + polarization से बना है, जिसमें वैज्ञानिक प्रत्यय -ation जुड़ा है; पहले इसे मुख्यतः शरीर-विज्ञान में झिल्ली विभव के परिवर्तन हेतु प्रयोग किया गया, बाद में अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी विस्तारित हुआ।
Definition
Depolarization is the process by which something becomes less polarized or loses its polarization; in biology it refers to a change in a cell membrane’s electrical potential so the inside becomes less negative relative to the outside, often triggering a nerve impulse or muscle contraction.
डीपोलराइज़ेशन/विध्रुवण-ह्रास वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें ध्रुवण कम हो जाता है या समाप्त हो जाता है; जीवविज्ञान में यह कोशिका-झिल्ली के विद्युत विभव में बदलाव को दर्शाता है, जिसमें कोशिका के भीतर का भाग बाहर की तुलना में कम नकारात्मक हो जाता है, जिससे अक्सर तंत्रिका आवेग या मांसपेशी संकुचन शुरू होता है।
