Definition
Deflocculation is the breaking up of aggregates (flocs) in a suspension so the particles disperse more evenly, reducing clumping and often lowering viscosity or improving flow; it is important in ceramics, paints, drilling fluids, and water treatment.
डिफ्लॉक्युलेशन (deflocculation) वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें किसी निलंबन (suspension) में बने कण-गुच्छों/फ्लॉक्स (flocs) को तोड़कर कणों को अधिक समान रूप से फैला दिया जाता है; इससे गुठलियाँ कम होती हैं और अक्सर श्यानता घटती या प्रवाह सुधरता है। यह सिरेमिक, पेंट, ड्रिलिंग फ्लुइड और जल-उपचार में महत्वपूर्ण है।
