Formed from debenture (from Medieval Latin debentur, “there are owing”, from Latin debere “to owe”) + holder (“one who holds/possesses”).
यह शब्द debenture से बना है (जो मध्ययुगीन लैटिन debentur “देय हैं/बाकी हैं”, लैटिन debere “कर्ज़ होना/देय होना” से) + holder (“धारण करने/रखने वाला”)।
Definition
A debentureholder is an investor/creditor who holds a company’s debenture and therefore has a contractual right to receive periodic interest and the principal amount on maturity; they are generally not owners of the company like shareholders.
डिबेंचरधारक वह निवेशक/ऋणदाता होता है जिसके पास किसी कंपनी का डिबेंचर होता है, इसलिए उसे शर्तों के अनुसार नियमित ब्याज तथा परिपक्वता पर मूलधन वापस पाने का संविदात्मक अधिकार होता है; वह आम तौर पर शेयरधारक की तरह कंपनी का मालिक नहीं होता।
