Definition
A cogwheel is a wheel with teeth (cogs) around its edge that interlock with another cogwheel to transfer rotation, change speed or direction, and transmit mechanical power in devices such as clocks, bicycles, and engines.
कॉगव्हील (दाँतेदार पहिया) एक ऐसा पहिया होता है जिसके किनारे पर दाँत (कॉग) होते हैं; ये दूसरे दाँतेदार पहिए के दाँतों में फँसकर घूमने की गति/शक्ति को एक हिस्से से दूसरे हिस्से तक पहुँचाते हैं और गति या दिशा बदलने में मदद करते हैं (जैसे घड़ियों, साइकिलों और इंजनों में)।
