From Scots/Scottish English cautioner, based on caution in the sense of “security, guarantee” (from Latin cautio “a taking care; security”), plus -er denoting a person.
यह शब्द स्कॉट्स/स्कॉटिश अंग्रेज़ी के cautioner से आया है, जहाँ caution का अर्थ “सुरक्षा/जमानत/गारंटी” भी होता है (लैटिन cautio “सावधानी; सुरक्षा” से), और -er प्रत्यय व्यक्ति को दर्शाता है।
Definition
A cautioner is someone who cautions (warns) others to be careful; in Scottish legal usage, it also means a person who acts as a surety, promising to pay or perform if another person defaults.
