Definition
A cask is a sturdy wooden or metal container (often barrel-shaped) used for storing and sometimes maturing liquids, especially alcoholic drinks like beer, whisky, or wine; it is typically larger and heavier than many ordinary barrels and may be tapped to serve the liquid.
