From Middle English bodis (plural of bodi), related to body; the clothing sense developed for the fitted upper part of a dress.
मध्य अंग्रेज़ी bodis (bodi का बहुवचन) से, जिसका संबंध body (शरीर) से है; बाद में इसका अर्थ पोशाक के शरीर से सटे ऊपरी हिस्से के लिए विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Bodices are the fitted upper parts of dresses or women’s garments, covering the torso and shaping the bust and waist; in historical fashion they were often stiffened or structured.
बॉडिस (bodices) पोशाक/स्त्री-परिधान का शरीर से सटा हुआ ऊपरी हिस्सा होता है जो धड़ (कंधे/गर्दन से कमर तक) ढकता है और छाती व कमर के आकार को उभारता है; ऐतिहासिक परिधानों में यह अक्सर कड़ा/संरचित बनाया जाता था।
