Definition
Bidri refers to a traditional Indian metalcraft in which objects are cast from a zinc-based alloy (often with copper), then decorated by inlaying silver wire or sheets and finally blackened to create a striking contrast.
बिदरी एक पारंपरिक भारतीय धातुकला है जिसमें वस्तुएँ जस्ता-आधारित मिश्रधातु (अक्सर ताँबे के साथ) से ढाली जाती हैं, फिर उनमें चाँदी के तार/पट्टियाँ जड़ाई जाती हैं और अंत में काला किया जाता है, जिससे गहरा काला-चाँदी का आकर्षक कंट्रास्ट बनता है।
