“Beads” commonly refers to many small round pieces with holes that are threaded on a string to make a necklace, bracelet, or a rosary used for prayer. It can also mean tiny rounded drops (e.g., water or sweat) that gather on a surface (“beads of water/sweat”). In specialized use, it can refer to the front sight (“bead”) of a firearm, or to having a “bead on” something meaning you have it lined up/clearly identified.
