From the noun/verb bead (Old English bēd ‘prayer’ > later ‘bead’ as on a rosary) + -ing; the sense of decorative molding developed by resemblance to a row of beads.
bead (पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी bēd ‘प्रार्थना’ से; बाद में जपमाला के ‘मनके/मोतियाँ’ के अर्थ में) + -ing से बना; ‘सजावटी मोल्डिंग’ वाला अर्थ मोतियों की कतार जैसी बनावट के कारण विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Beading refers to (1) the craft or process of attaching beads to make jewelry or to decorate fabric and other objects, (2) the formation of small bead-like drops (such as water beading on a surface), and (3) a narrow rounded decorative molding or ridge in carpentry/architecture.
Beading का अर्थ है (1) मोतियों से आभूषण बनाना या कपड़े/वस्तुओं को सजाने के लिए मोती लगाना, (2) छोटे मोती जैसे बूंदों का बनना (जैसे सतह पर पानी की बूंदों का मोतियों की तरह जमना), और (3) बढ़ईगीरी/स्थापत्य में पतली गोलाकार सजावटी पट्टी या उभरी हुई धार।
