From austenitise (to form austenite) + -ed; austenite is named after Sir William Chandler Roberts-Austen (19th-century metallurgist).
‘ऑस्टेनिटाइज़’ (ऑस्टेनाइट बनाना) + ‘-ed’ से; ‘ऑस्टेनाइट’ नाम 19वीं शताब्दी के धातुकर्म विज्ञानी सर विलियम चैंडलर रॉबर्ट्स-ऑस्टेन के नाम पर पड़ा।
Definition
Austenitised describes steel or iron that has been heated to a temperature at which its structure transforms into austenite, usually as a preparatory step before quenching, normalising, or other heat treatments.
ऑस्टेनिटाइज़्ड उस स्टील/लोहे को कहते हैं जिसे ऐसी तापमान सीमा तक गरम किया गया हो जहाँ उसकी सूक्ष्म-संरचना ऑस्टेनाइट में बदल जाती है; यह अक्सर क्वेंचिंग, नॉर्मलाइज़िंग या अन्य ऊष्मा-उपचारों से पहले का चरण होता है।
