Definition
Astigmometry is the process of measuring astigmatism—an optical imperfection caused by an irregularly curved cornea or lens—by determining its magnitude and axis for diagnosis or prescribing corrective lenses.
एस्टिग्मोमेट्री आँख में एस्टिग्मैटिज़्म (दृष्टिदोष) को मापने की प्रक्रिया है—जो कॉर्निया या लेंस की असमान वक्रता के कारण होता है—जिसमें निदान या चश्मे/कॉन्टैक्ट लेंस का नंबर तय करने हेतु उसकी मात्रा (डिग्री) और अक्ष (axis) निर्धारित की जाती है।
