From Greek prefix a- “not/without” + pyrogen “fever-producing substance” (from pyr “fire/fever” + -gen “producing”) + -ic.
यूनानी उपसर्ग a- (अर्थ: ‘नहीं/के बिना’) + pyrogen (‘बुखार उत्पन्न करने वाला पदार्थ’; pyr ‘अग्नि/ज्वर’ + -gen ‘उत्पन्न करने वाला’) + -ic से बना।
Definition
Apyrogenic describes substances (such as injections, IV fluids, or medical equipment) that contain no pyrogens—fever-causing contaminants like bacterial endotoxins—so they should not trigger a febrile reaction in patients.
एपाइरोजेनिक उन पदार्थों/तैयारियों (जैसे इंजेक्शन, IV द्रव, या चिकित्सा उपकरण) के लिए कहा जाता है जिनमें पायरोजन—बुखार पैदा करने वाले दूषक (जैसे बैक्टीरियल एंडोटॉक्सिन)—न हों, इसलिए वे रोगी में ज्वर/बुखार की प्रतिक्रिया नहीं उत्पन्न करते।
