फ़्रेंच apéritif से; मूलतः लैटिन aperire (अर्थ: “खोलना”) से, जिसका आशय “भूख खोलना/जगाना” है।
Definition
Aperitifs are drinks served before a meal, often slightly bitter or aromatic, intended to stimulate the appetite and prepare the palate.
एपरिटिफ़ (भोजन-पूर्व पेय) ऐसे पेय होते हैं जो भोजन से पहले परोसे जाते हैं, अक्सर हल्के कड़वे या सुगंधित, ताकि भूख खुले और स्वाद-इंद्रियाँ भोजन के लिए तैयार हों।
