लैटिन antrorsus/antorsus से, अर्थ “आगे की ओर/अग्रभाग की ओर,” जो ante (“आगे/अग्र”) + versus (“मुड़ा हुआ/घुमाया हुआ”) से बना है।
Definition
In technical descriptions (especially botany and zoology), antrorse describes hairs, spines, or other structures that are inclined or pointing forward—i.e., toward the tip/apex of a leaf or organ, or toward the front of a body.
तकनीकी वर्णनों (विशेषकर वनस्पति-विज्ञान और प्राणी-विज्ञान) में antrorse उन रोंयों/काँटों/उभारों आदि के लिए कहा जाता है जो आगे की ओर झुके या उन्मुख हों—अर्थात पत्ती/अंग के शीर्ष (एपेक्स) की ओर या शरीर के अग्र भाग की ओर।
