Definition
Amelanism is a condition in which an organism produces little to no melanin, resulting in unusually pale coloration; it can occur in humans or other animals and is distinct from albinism depending on the underlying cause.
अमेलानिज़्म वह स्थिति है जिसमें किसी जीव में मेलेनिन का उत्पादन बहुत कम या बिल्कुल नहीं होता, जिससे त्वचा, बाल, आँखों या बाह्य आवरण का रंग असामान्य रूप से फीका हो जाता है; यह मनुष्यों या अन्य जानवरों में हो सकता है और कारण के अनुसार यह अल्बिनिज़्म से भिन्न भी माना जा सकता है।
