Origin & History
From French aileron, literally “little wing,” from aile “wing” (ultimately from Latin ala “wing”).
फ़्रेंच aileron से, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ “छोटा पंख” है; यह aile “पंख” से बना है (जिसकी जड़ लैटिन ala “पंख” में मिलती है)।
Definition
An aileron is a movable, hinged flap near the outer rear edge of an airplane’s wing; moving the left and right ailerons in opposite directions changes lift and makes the aircraft roll (bank) for turning and lateral control.
एइलरॉन विमान के पंख के बाहरी पीछे वाले किनारे के पास लगा एक हिलने वाला, काजयुक्त फ्लैप होता है; बाएँ और दाएँ एइलरॉन विपरीत दिशाओं में हिलने से लिफ्ट में अंतर आता है और विमान रोल/बैंक होकर मुड़ता है तथा पार्श्व नियंत्रण होता है।
