Definition
A xanthoma is a small yellow bump or plaque in the skin caused by deposits of cholesterol and other fats (lipids), commonly appearing near joints or on eyelids, and it may be associated with disorders of lipid metabolism.
জ্যান্থোমা হলো ত্বকে ছোট হলুদ গুটি বা চ্যাপ্টা দাগ, যা কোলেস্টেরল ও অন্যান্য চর্বি (লিপিড) জমে তৈরি হয়; এটি প্রায়ই সন্ধির আশেপাশে বা চোখের পাতায় দেখা যায় এবং লিপিড বিপাকের সমস্যার সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত হতে পারে।
