From Sanskrit Vedāntin (वेदान्तिन्), meaning 'one who follows Vedānta', from Vedānta 'end/conclusion of the Vedas' + -in (agent suffix).
সংস্কৃত ‘বেদান্তिन्’ (Vedāntin, वेदान्तिन्) থেকে, অর্থ ‘যিনি বেদান্ত অনুসরণ করেন’; ‘বেদান্ত’ = ‘বেদের অন্ত/উপসংহার’ + ‘-ইন’ (কর্তৃবাচক প্রত্যয়)।
Definition
A Vedantin is someone who studies, teaches, or follows Vedanta (the philosophical tradition based chiefly on the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Brahma Sutras), often focusing on the nature of ultimate reality (Brahman) and the self (Atman).
বেদান্তিন হলেন এমন একজন ব্যক্তি যিনি বেদান্ত (প্রধানত উপনিষদ, ভগবদ্গীতা ও ব্রহ্মসূত্র-ভিত্তিক হিন্দু দর্শনধারা) অধ্যয়ন, শিক্ষা বা অনুসরণ করেন; যেখানে চূড়ান্ত বাস্তবতা (ব্রহ্ম) এবং আত্মা (আত্মন) সম্পর্কে অনুসন্ধানকে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়।
