un- (উল্টো/অপসারণ বোঝায়) + man (পৌরুষ/লোকবল) থেকে গঠিত; ‘পৌরুষ অপসারণ’ ও ‘লোকবল সরানো’ অর্থে ইংরেজিতে প্রারম্ভিক আধুনিক যুগ থেকে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Unman means (1) to castrate—remove a male’s reproductive organs or ‘manhood’; (2) to weaken or rob someone of the physical or emotional strength/courage needed to face a situation; (3) to remove men from a place, ship, or unit (to leave it without personnel).
Unman বলতে বোঝায় (১) খোজা করা/পুংত্বহানি ঘটানো—পুরুষের প্রজননক্ষমতা বা ‘পৌরুষ’ অপসারণ করা; (২) কাউকে এমনভাবে দুর্বল করে দেওয়া যাতে সে পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলা করার শারীরিক বা মানসিক শক্তি/সাহস হারিয়ে ফেলে; (৩) কোনো স্থান/জাহাজ/দল থেকে লোক সরিয়ে নেওয়া—লোকশূন্য করা।
