From Latin umbra (“shadow”), via umbral (“pertaining to a shadow”); used especially in scientific/astronomical contexts for the darkest part of a shadow.
লাতিন umbra (‘ছায়া’) থেকে উদ্ভূত; umbral অর্থ ‘ছায়া-সম্পর্কিত’। বিজ্ঞান/জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞানে বিশেষ করে ছায়ার সবচেয়ে অন্ধকার অংশ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
