Toffees is the plural of toffee; the word toffee is first recorded in the early 19th century, probably from a dialect form of "taffy" (a sweet) or related confectionery terms.

Toffees are pieces of toffee—sweet candies made by boiling sugar (often with butter and sometimes milk or nuts) until it thickens, then cooling it to become chewy or hard.
Toffees হলো টফির একাধিক টুকরো—চিনি (প্রায়ই মাখন এবং কখনও দুধ বা বাদামসহ) জ্বাল দিয়ে ঘন করা হয়, তারপর ঠান্ডা করে চিবোতে নরম বা শক্ত মিষ্টি বানানো হয়।
