Origin & History
From the verb slouch + the suffix -y (“having the quality of”). “Slouch” is recorded in English from the 17th century.
ক্রিয়া slouch (কুঁজো হয়ে থাকা/ঢিলে ভঙ্গিতে চলা) + প্রত্যয় -y (“এই গুণযুক্ত”) থেকে গঠিত। “Slouch” শব্দটি ইংরেজিতে ১৭শ শতক থেকে নথিভুক্ত।
Definition
Describes a person’s posture or manner of standing/sitting that is habitually drooped forward or relaxed in a way that looks untidy or lacking energy.
এমন ভঙ্গি/অবস্থা বোঝায় যেখানে কেউ অভ্যাসগতভাবে কুঁজো হয়ে বা ঢিলে-ঢালা ভঙ্গিতে দাঁড়ায়/বসে—যা দেখতে অনগোছালো বা উদ্যমহীন মনে হতে পারে।
