From the verb “sizzle” (an imitative/onomatopoeic word for a hissing sound), with -ing forming the present participle/adjective; recorded in English from the 17th–18th centuries for the sound, later extended figuratively to “exciting/steamy.”
“sizzle” ক্রিয়া থেকে এসেছে—এটি সাঁইসাঁই/ঝাঁঝরা শব্দ অনুকরণকারী (onomatopoeic) শব্দ; -ing যোগে বর্তমান ক্রিয়াবাচক বিশেষণ/অংশবিশেষ গঠিত হয়েছে। ইংরেজিতে ১৭–১৮শ শতকে প্রথমে শব্দ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত, পরে রূপকে “উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ/স্টিমি” অর্থে বিস্তৃত হয়।
Definition
“Sizzling” describes (1) a sharp hissing sound produced when something (often liquid or food) touches a very hot surface, (2) food served on a very hot plate that still makes that sound, and (3) figuratively, something highly exciting, intense, or sexually attractive.
“Sizzling” বলতে (১) খুব গরম পৃষ্ঠে (প্রায়ই তরল বা খাবার) লাগলে যে তীক্ষ্ণ সাঁইসাঁই/ঝাঁঝরা শব্দ হয়, (২) এমন গরম প্লেট/লোহার পাত্রে পরিবেশিত খাবার যা এখনও সেই শব্দ করে, এবং (৩) রূপকে খুব উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ, তীব্র বা যৌন আবেদনময় বিষয় বোঝায়।
