ইংরেজি “recast” ক্রিয়া থেকে—re- (অর্থ: ‘আবার’) + cast (অর্থ: ‘নিক্ষেপ করা; ছাঁচে ঢেলে আকার দেওয়া’); “recasting” হলো এর বর্তমান ক্রিয়াবাচক রূপ (present participle/gerund) এবং কাজ/প্রক্রিয়ার নাম হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Definition
“Recasting” means casting or moulding something again, or changing it into a new form; it can also mean assigning actors to different roles, and in finance it can mean adjusting a loan to avoid default.
“Recasting” বলতে কোনো কিছু আবার ঢালাই/ছাঁচে ফেলা বা নতুন করে গড়ে তোলা/রূপান্তর করা বোঝায়; নাটক/চলচ্চিত্রে অভিনয়শিল্পীদের ভূমিকা বদলে নতুন করে কাস্ট করাকেও বোঝায়; আর অর্থনীতিতে ডিফল্ট এড়াতে ঋণ পুনর্গঠন/সমন্বয় করাকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
