Formed from non- (“not”) + parasitic (from Greek parasitos “one who eats at another’s table,” later “parasite”) + -ally/-ically adverbial formation; used in scientific English to denote absence of parasitic behavior.
non- (“না/অ-”) + parasitic (গ্রিক parasitos “অন্যের টেবিলে খায় এমন ব্যক্তি”; পরে “পরজীবী”) + ক্রিয়াবিশেষণ গঠনের উপসর্গ/প্রত্যয় (-ally/-ically) মিলিয়ে গঠিত; বৈজ্ঞানিক ইংরেজিতে পরজীবী আচরণের অনুপস্থিতি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Used to describe an action, process, or lifestyle that does not involve parasitism—i.e., not obtaining nourishment or benefit by harming a host; often used in biology/ecology when contrasting parasitic vs. free-living, mutualistic, or commensal ways of living.
পরজীবীভাবে নয়—অর্থাৎ কোনো আশ্রয়দাতা জীবকে ক্ষতি করে তার দেহ থেকে পুষ্টি/লাভ গ্রহণ না করে যে পদ্ধতিতে কাজ, প্রক্রিয়া বা জীবনযাপন ঘটে; জীববিজ্ঞান/বাস্তুবিদ্যায় পরজীবী বনাম মুক্তজীবী, পারস্পরিক-সহায়ী (মিউচুয়ালিস্টিক) বা সহবাসী (কমেনসাল) অবস্থার তুলনায় প্রায়ই ব্যবহৃত।
