Definition
In mathematics (category theory), a construction is nonfunctorial if it cannot be made into a functor in a coherent way—i.e., it does not assign morphisms to morphisms so that identities and composition are preserved, or it depends on arbitrary choices not compatible with maps.
গণিতে (বিশেষত ক্যাটেগরি তত্ত্বে) কোনো নির্মাণকে nonfunctorial বলা হয় যখন সেটিকে সঙ্গতিপূর্ণভাবে একটি ফান্টর হিসেবে সংজ্ঞায়িত করা যায় না—অর্থাৎ এটি মর্ফিজম থেকে মর্ফিজমে এমনভাবে মানচিত্রায়ন দেয় না যাতে identity ও composition সংরক্ষিত থাকে, অথবা এটি এমন খামখেয়ালি/ইচ্ছাধীন পছন্দের ওপর নির্ভর করে যা মানচিত্রগুলোর সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ নয়।
