Formed in modern English by adding the prefix non- (“not”) to candidate (from Latin candidatus, “white-robed; candidate for office”).
আধুনিক ইংরেজিতে candidate শব্দের আগে non- (“না/নয়”) উপসর্গ যোগ করে গঠিত; candidate এসেছে ল্যাটিন candidatus থেকে, যার অর্থ ছিল “সাদা পোশাকধারী; পদপ্রার্থী”।
Definition
A non-candidate is a person who is not standing for election or being considered/put forward for a particular role, office, or opportunity; the term is often used in political or selection contexts to contrast with declared candidates.
non-candidate বলতে এমন একজন ব্যক্তিকে বোঝায় যিনি কোনো নির্বাচন বা কোনো পদ/ভূমিকার জন্য প্রার্থী নন, অথবা যাকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বিবেচনা/মনোনীত করা হয়নি; শব্দটি প্রায়ই রাজনৈতিক বা বাছাই/নিয়োগের প্রেক্ষাপটে ঘোষিত প্রার্থীদের বিপরীতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
