From the adjective naughty + the noun-forming suffix -ness; naughty developed from Middle English naught (“nothing”) in the sense of “having nothing, worthless,” later “bad/immoral,” then “disobedient/mischievous.”
naughty শব্দটির সঙ্গে বিশেষ্য-গঠনকারী প্রত্যয় -ness যোগ হয়ে naughtiness গঠিত; naughty এসেছে মধ্য ইংরেজি naught (“কিছুই নয়”) থেকে—প্রথমে ‘কিছু নেই/মূল্যহীন’ অর্থে, পরে ‘খারাপ/অনৈতিক’ এবং পরবর্তীতে ‘অবাধ্য/দুষ্টুমি’ অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে।

Naughtiness refers to playful misbehavior or disobedience, often minor and not seriously harmful, especially typical of children; it can also mean a tendency to behave in a naughty way.
