Modern technical compound formed from ignition (from Latin ignitio/ignire, related to ignis ‘fire’) + resistant (from Latin resistere ‘to stand back, withstand’), used widely in safety and building-material standards.
আধুনিক কারিগরি যৌগ: ignition (লাতিন ignitio/ignire থেকে; ignis ‘আগুন’-এর সাথে সম্পর্কিত) + resistant (লাতিন resistere ‘প্রতিরোধ করা/সহ্য করা’ থেকে); নিরাপত্তা ও নির্মাণ-উপকরণ মানদণ্ডে শব্দটি ব্যাপকভাবে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Ignition-resistant describes materials, coatings, or products that are engineered to be difficult to ignite and to limit ignition from heat, sparks, embers, or brief flame contact; it does not necessarily mean fully fireproof.
Ignition-resistant বলতে এমন উপকরণ, প্রলেপ বা পণ্যকে বোঝায় যা সহজে আগুন ধরে না এবং তাপ, স্ফুলিঙ্গ, জ্বলন্ত কণা (এমবার) বা অল্প সময়ের শিখা-সংস্পর্শে আগুন ধরার সম্ভাবনা কমায়; তবে এটি সব সময় সম্পূর্ণ অগ্নিরোধী (fireproof) হওয়া বোঝায় না।
