From Greek amphi- (“both, on both sides”) + chiral (from Greek kheir “hand”), used in stereochemistry for entities superposable on their mirror images.
গ্রিক amphi- (অর্থ: ‘উভয়/দুই দিকেই’) + chiral (গ্রিক kheir, অর্থ: ‘হাত’ থেকে) — স্টেরিওরসায়নে প্রতিবিম্বের সঙ্গে অভেদ্য/সমাপতিত (superposable) সত্তা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
In stereochemistry, an amphichiral object or molecule is identical to its mirror image and therefore is not chiral; it typically has a plane or center of symmetry that makes the mirror images superposable.
স্টেরিওরসায়নে ‘অ্যামফিকাইরাল’ বস্তু বা অণু তার প্রতিবিম্বের সঙ্গে সম্পূর্ণ অভিন্ন এবং তাই কাইরাল নয়; সাধারণত সমতল বা কেন্দ্রীয় সমমিতি থাকার কারণে প্রতিবিম্বদ্বয়কে একে অপরের উপর বসানো (superimpose) সম্ভব হয়।
